FOXES INTO QUARTER FINALS

The Foxes continued their run in this year's National Village Cup, progressing to the Quarter Final which is due to be held at Foxton on Sunday 18th July vs Stoke Green CC from Buckinghamshire.

Making the long journey on a wet day to East Sussex, the Foxes won by 7 wickets in a good performance vs Crowhurst Park CC. Credit to the grounds staff and opposition for getting the game on given the tough conditions.

Losing the toss and bowling first on a pitch which had been undercover overnight (and much of the morning), the Foxes picked up wickets throughout the Crowhurst innings as they restricted the opposition to 120-9 off 40 overs. Pick of the bowlers were Jeff Douglas with 3-15, Raki Rao with 2-21 and Hayden Brown with 2-29.

In response Foxton's inning was well anchored by Alex Hooley (64no) as the total was chased down in 32.1 overs for the loss of just three wickets.
