Foxton CC

Foxton Cricket Club was founded in 1906, based in the heart of this picturesque village just 8 miles south of Cambridge.

In the last fifteen years the club has brought itself to the top of local cricket in Cambridgeshire, it became a Focus club and first gained Clubmark Status in 2008. It focused its efforts into raising the quality of the playing surface, which is now among the best in East Anglia, regularly hosting representative cricket at different levels. In 2009 it received grants from the Lords Taverners, MCC and South Cambs Council which allowed it to purchase a roll on net and its first set of covers. For the 2017 season the club was fortunate enough to be awarded a grant from the Amey Community Fund to allow them to build an electronic scorebox, this represents the development that the club has made in a relatively short period of time.

The 1XI have twice won the Cambs & Hunts Premier League Div.1 in 2012 and 2016 and have ambitions of entering the East Anglian Premier League. The 2XI have worked their way up the leagues and in the 2021 season, played in C&H Div.2, just one league below the 1st XI. 

In 2015, the club had the most successful cup run in it's history where it reached the final of the National Village Competition held at Lord's Cricket Ground. Unfortunately the team fell just short at the final hurdle but there is great hope throughout the club that the team can one day go one step further. 

The club has historically had a thriving and highly successful colts system with teams at a range of age-groups.

Much of this success has been down to the hard work of a number of individuals and the continued generous support of our sponsors, without which the club would not be able to continue.
