The #1STXI booked their spot in the National Rounds of this year's Village Cup with a tightly fought 8-run win away at league rivals, Eaton Socon. In an exciting match, Ash Clark picked up a hat-trick in the penultimate over to peg the home side back. This left opening bowler, Sam Beer, to defend 14-runs off the last over and secure victory.

The win sets up a home tie against the winners of the South Essex region, Bentley CC, on Sunday 22nd June in what should be an excellent day of cricket!
