On Sunday 3rd July, the Foxes travelled to Leeds Castle in Kent to take on Leeds & Broomfield CC in the last 16 of this year's national village cup competition.

Winning the toss and batting first there were good contributions from Atkinson (56), Rice (51), Abraham (40) and Hooley (34) as the Foxes posted 233 off their 40 overs. 

In reply, despite losing 3 early wickets, Leeds remained up with the required run rate for much of the innings, which included a best of the match partnership of 102 for the 4th wicket. After 26 overs the game was in the balance, but momentum swung the way of the Foxes as Hill had M. McCague expertly caught in the deep by Atkinson with the score on 146-4. Following this, wickets began to fall at regular intervals and Leeds were finally dismissed for 191 in the 35th over. Wickets were shared around - Rice 3/56, Hill 2/26, Singh 2/38, Lawrence 2/42 and Mahendra 1/26.

The Foxes ran out winners by 42 runs and progress to the Quarter Final where they will play Redbourn CC from Hertfordshire at Foxton on Sunday 17th July.
