On Sunday the National Village cup team were victorious in their last 8 clash at home vs Redbourn CC.
Ex-England Test captain, David Gower, was in attendance along with a 400 strong crowd at the Foxes ran out 5 wicket winners against the Hertfordshire based side.
The Foxes lost the toss on a hot day at Foxton Recreation Ground and did well to restrict Redbourn to 186 all out, especially considering after the opposition were 81-1 in the 12th over. Pick of the bowlers were Ravi Mahendra with 3-33 and Raj Singh with 3-35.
In reply, a number of the top order got starts but failed to go on. The chase was anchored by Johnny Atkinson, batting at 4, who made 48, sharing 47 and 55 run partnerships with Hooley and Abraham. The Foxes captain, Lewys Hill hit the winning runs with 11 balls to spare with Harry Hopwood making an unbeaten better than run a ball 21.
In the next round on Sunday 31st July the Foxes travel to Calmore Sports CC in Hampshire looking to book their place in the Lord's final.
