The 1st team booked l their place in the Semi Final of the Village Cup with a 67 run win over Woolpit CC from Suffolk.

Batting first, the Foxes posted 196/9 from their 40 overs. Kaufman top scored with 58 and was well supported by Hopwood 49 and Webster 45.

In reply, the seamers made a great start with Sam Beer dismissing the Woolpit opener second ball of the innings, before the spin of Hill, Mahendra, Iqbal and Kaufman turned the screw. Hill was the pick of the bowlers, taking 4/28 whilst Mahendra took 3/23.

The Foxes now make the long trip to Cornwall to take on Grampound Road CC on Sunday 4th August.
